“Is Water Life?” project

Exhibition of the school project of the Escola Parc de l’Aigua. Starting from an unexpected event —running out of water at school—, the pupils question their relationship with water, its uses and its availability. The exhibition presents the resulting works, the fruit of the Art i ciència programme with the Centre d’Art la Panera, the FAIG programme of the Departament d’Educació and the Museu de l’Aigua.

On 25 June 2024, the teaching staff of the Escola Parc de l’Aigua accompanied the artist Marco Noris and the psychoanalyst Celeste Reyna on a visit to the exhibition “Is Water Life?”, at the Molí de Sant Anastasi (La Bordeta, Museu de l’Aigua).

“Is Water Life?” is an exhibition created by the children of the Escola Parc de l’Aigua, at the Molí de Sant Anastasi in La Bordeta, one of the venues included in the Museu de l’Aigua route in Lleida.

This exhibition is the result of the school project that the pupils of the Escola Parc de l’Aigua have been carrying out over recent months. Inspired by the artists Marco Noris, Vespe and Àlvar Calvet —participants in the group exhibition “Cossos d’aigua” that they visited at La Panera in Lleida— and within the framework of the Departament d’Educació’s pedagogical innovation projects “FAIG” and “araArt”, in collaboration with the La Panera art centre itself, with the ephemeral architecture studio Instantropia in Lleida and with the choreographer and dancer Marta Casals, they have sought to express their learning through artistic expression.
