These are five of the eight cartographies made during the residency in Campo Garzón, Uruguay. The pictorial process began by using the waters of the Garzón stream to capture snapshots of the land on paper and canvas, representing the earth through the action of water and natural processes such as wind, sun and rain. The pictorial creation developed by accompanying and intervening in the natural processes in a constant and patient game of chaos and control, control and chaos.
In the realisation, I looked for a chromatic progression that encompassed different states and elements of the earth, using as references elements from my surroundings (vegetation, sheet metal, eucalyptus, wire, stone, earth).
Estas son cinco de las ocho cartografías realizadas durante mi residencia en Campo Garzón, Uruguay. El proceso pictórico comenzó utilizando las aguas del arroyo Garzón para plasmar instantáneas de la tierra sobre papel y lienzo, representando la tierra a través de la acción del agua y de procesos naturales como el viento, el sol y la lluvia. La creación pictórica se desarrolló acompañando e interviniendo en los procesos naturales en un constante y paciente juego de caos y control, control y caos.
En la realización, busqué una progresión cromática que abarcase diferentes estados y elementos de la tierra, utilizando como referencias elementos de mi entorno (vegetación, chapa, eucalipto, alambre, piedra, tierra).
