The talks, seminars and lectures gathered here extend Marco Noris’s practice into the field of shared speech. At universities, art schools, museums and cultural centres, walking appears not as a subject but as a method: a form of knowledge that runs through his projects and from which territory, memory and the creative process itself are read. Each session starts from the works —from Sequere to Lloc, lluny, llar, from On the Border to Illuminating the Void— and adapts to the place that hosts it: lecture, conversation or walk.

Four lines run through these encounters:

  • Walking as transformation. Each step alters the world and the walker. Against the speed of transport, the route recovers transition as experience.
  • The unity of experience. In the sustained rhythm of walking, body, mind and territory align in a continuous present.
  • The political dimension of the body. Like painting, walking affirms the language of the body in an age of dematerialisation.
  • The body as an instrument of research. Knowing from one’s own experience: fieldwork as experimentation, between planning and improvisation.

Performative talks

On two occasions the lecture took a performative form: instead of a commented slideshow, a conceptual map built live on the wall, which remains afterwards as a trace of the journey.
