From lived experience to creation. Walking as an instrument of artistic research was the closing session of the third season of La universidad des_conocida, at #Plantauno (L’Hospitalet de Llobregat), on 4 July 2024.
A performative journey through my art projects: the working method, the processes and the way walking runs through the whole practice. Using different elements and languages —paintings, drawings, photographs, objects, notes— I built in real time a conceptual map along the 12 metres of the room’s wall: the origins of the projects, the references they dialogue with, the discoveries, the mistakes and the choices made along the way.
The talk returns to the format I first used in 2015 at Hangar with Paratext #7: instead of a commented slideshow, the presentation becomes a map drawn in front of the audience, which stays on the wall afterwards as a trace of the journey. It is the performative version of the talks, seminars and lectures.
