Live stream in the Namib Desert (Namibia)

Live stream from a waterhole in the heart of Namibia’s desert. The waterhole lies within Gondwana Namib Park, a vast area where wildlife moves freely between natural parks and private farms. The camera is powered by a solar borehole; although occasional interruptions may occur, it offers a remarkable window onto desert wildlife.

About the Namib Desert Cam

NamibiaCam’s Namib Desert waterhole lies within Gondwana Namib Park, bordering Namib-Naukluft Park. Built in 2006, the special character of this waterhole not only affects the surrounding wildlife, but reaches across the globe: from home to home, through live streaming.

The waterhole is situated on an open plain, 8 km from Namib Desert Lodge. A solar-powered borehole fills a nearby reservoir, controlled by a float that opens as the waterhole level drops. Because it is located in a remote place like the Namib Desert, occasional interruptions may occur.
