Paintings of the Ruin

2015–2017

Noris's paintings explore the shadow, the ruin and the denial of the dark as axes of our time. Mass graves, victims, waste and ruins —moral and material— make up a compendium of collapse. Scenes of mourning and defeat rise like silent monuments that question our relationship with what is lost, what is forgotten and what still persists in the shadow.
