Cal Trepat

Photographic series made during the field visit prior to the installation of the project Within the Skin of the Earth at the former industrial complex of Cal Trepat (Tàrrega). The images register the artist’s encounter with a heritage site marked by the trace of manual labour and industrial matter.
This photographic series was made during the field visit prior to the installation of the project Within the Skin of the Earth, at the former industrial complex of Cal Trepat, in Tàrrega.
Cal Trepat was an emblematic agricultural machinery factory founded around 1913 and active until the early 2000s, a core site in the agrarian and social development of the Urgell region. Today, converted into a museum and heritage space, its halls preserve the trace of manual labour, the vibration of iron, and the dust of years, becoming a material testimony to the bond between body, territory, and production.
In this context, the photographs function as records of the artist’s encounter with the site. Through light, texture, and ruin, the series explores the resonance of emptiness and the persistence of matter as living memory.
